GENII business SHD opens school for 1,600 children in Rwanda

The GENII business SHD has opened the ‘SHD school’ school in Rwanda in cooperation with the Reiner Meutsch Foundation FLY & HELP. The new primary school in Bweramvura, hosting 850 girls and 750 boys, was opened on February 22, 2022, after a four-month construction period.

The construction and furnishing of a primary school building, as well as the construction of new sanitary installations, one of which is designed for children with disabilities, was completed in January 2022. In addition, a cistern with a capacity of 10m³ was set up to ensure the school’s basic water supply.

The new school opening follows the co-financing of the “Andernach School” in Rwanda in 2018.
