GSG Genii Software Group (“GENII”) today announces that it has acquired PLANAT GmbH (“PLANAT”), one of the largest independent vendors of manufacturing ERP software in Germany. Founded in Stuttgart in 1981, PLANAT’s discrete manufacturing capabilities further build GENII’s manufacturing expertise, where it already has a leading position in process manufacturing through its GUS ERP business. It also strengthens the market presence for discrete manufacturing in DACH where GENII already has a footprint via its Netherlands-based Isah ERP portfolio company.
PLANAT’s customers, the majority of whom are located in Germany, include mid-market manufacturing firms typically with up to 150 users. Their customers benefit from the company’s functionally rich, core-ERP suite, combined with modular additions to cater to multiple manufacturing niches. With solid historical revenue growth in recent years, PLANAT serves manufacturing specialists in metal working, plastics processing, electrical engineering and cable production.
